The Background

TheHealing was created to unify the fragmented alternative medicine space into a single digital platform. The vision was to connect users with freelance therapists offering services such as astrology, ayurveda, dance therapy, energy healing, and more — all within one seamless online ecosystem.

The Problem

The alternative healing market lacked a centralized, structured platform that allowed users to discover therapists by specialty, ailment, or availability while securely booking and attending sessions online. There was no unified experience that handled search, scheduling, payments, and video consultations in one place.

The Approach

We approached the project as a dual-sided marketplace, carefully structuring user journeys for both clients and therapists. The focus was on simplifying discovery, reducing booking friction, and integrating video consultations directly into the platform. Scalability, clarity, and ease of use were prioritized to support future expansion of therapy categories.
